You must have heard this centuries-old folk wisdom "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" which is popular since the 17th century but do you know during the 17th century the word "apple" was used as a generic term for all (foreign) fruit other than berries, but including nuts. So our ancestor's were actually saying fruits make you healthier. And this info tells me, Sir Issac Newton must be giving the example of any fruits falling from the tree to explain gravity in his time. I did some searches it was an apple tree in Sir, Issac Newton backyard so Eureka for the formula of gravity was Apple for sure.
